ZABADANI LLC was made by two sisters from Toronto who love insects and wanted to turn that into something fun to play.
Anna hand-draws every insect symbol and background in the game. The ant, the beetle, the butterfly, the spider — all her work. She also designs the seasonal themes and visual updates.
Kate writes everything on the site, manages player communication, and handles the business side. If you've read a word on this site, she wrote it.
It started as a conversation about insects — which ones look the coolest, which ones would make good game characters. Anna sketched a few symbols, Kate mocked up a simple roulette, and they put it online to see if anyone would play.
People did. So they kept going — adding more symbols, polishing the art, building out the site. Still just the two of them, still working out of a small apartment.
A small studio in east Toronto. Anna's desk has a terrarium with leafcutter ants (she says it's for reference). Kate's side has a whiteboard full of content schedules and a stack of insect photography books.
No investors, no publisher. Just two people making a game they enjoy working on.
No paywalls, no microtransactions. The game is free. The points are free. That's the deal.
18+ only. Clear responsible play policy. Self-exclusion available anytime. No gray areas.
Every visual in the game is hand-drawn. No stock assets, no AI-generated images. All Anna, all original.
